HE DID IT!!!!

My little guy can stand up all by himself now. Tuesday (08/26/08) was his first time. We started the day out like any normal day (with our bed head and all) and decided we were going to clean.

Jordan thought it was great! His new favorite toy is the swifter (he is a boy after my own heart!) He thought it was great cleaning everything...including me! I turned to clean the blinds, when I was done I turned back around to find Jordan standing by himself in the middle of the floor.

After that he (and I) got so excited everytime he would sit & then stand back up by himself! It was the most wonderful thing to see how his face would light up everytime he did it!

Later that night, Grandma & Grandpa, Randy, his girlfriend Megan, Wyatt & Missy came over for dinner. He had a great time showing them his new trick! He also started taking steps....for his 4th, 5th, 6th, etc time (I know, I'm just shouting 1st time mom!). Overall it was such a wonderful day & night!

Our Anniversary Mini Getaway

Over the weekend we went to Wolf Creek for a mini anniversary getaway. We had a great time (the only way it would've been better, is if we were gone longer!).
Glen's parents & Jordan went up with us the first night. Jordan enjoyed eating Mac & Cheese with Grandma............

And ordering delicious food with Grandpa. He also enjoyed sharing fries with Grandpa!

Jordan also colored with crayons for the first time, and it was so much fun! He also thought that the pretty colors tasted great!
After the first night Glen's parents took Jordan so we could have some peace & quiet! It was nice, but hard, being that it was only the second time I have been the night without my little guy.
Of course our life revolves around our little guy, but that is ok...we wouldn't have it any other way. Overall it was a great little getaway!

I'm married to my best friend & Love of my life!

Happy Anniversary Glen!!!
Five years ago today was one of the happiest days of my life. I married my best friend and love of my life! Glen and I started dating back in High School 8 years ago! We started our friendship and love from working at Office Max together! Our first date was sneaking into a movie with all of his friends....the good old days!

I have some wonderful memories with Glen from the past years.......from getting stuck several times in his Jimmy to a N'*Sync concert (love you honey!). Some of the great highlights during our 5 years of marriage would be the traveling and the memories that we made (Scotland, Maui, Disneyland, Minnesota & Wisconsin), I couldn't think of anyone else to travel and see the world with besides my wonderful husband!

We have also shared many laughs and tears together. It has been so wonderful to have someone that I know I can always count on! It is so great to have someone that I am happy to spend the rest of my life with! I look forward to getting old and spending many more laughs and tears with him!

I think the greatest accomplishment we have shared together would be Jordan. We have brought an amazing and sweet son into this world. I love watching Glen with him. Before we had Jordan, I would watch Glen with his nieces and nephews, and I knew that he would be a wonderful father one day. I was right! It is so special to see Glen with Jordan and what a wonderful father he is......he has so much love, patients and compassion for him!

Glen and I work together very well.......he knows how to always make me laugh! I am so blessed that I have someone who I can confide in and be myself with. No matter what, I know that he never judges me and truely loves me for me.

I am also lucky that Glen gets along so well with my family. I know that he loves them and that is extremely important to me! I also married into a wonderful family. I am grateful for the love and friendship his family shows. They have always been there for me and I can't thank them enough.

Glen, thanks so much for a wonderful 8 years together, and an Amazing 5 years of marriage. I love you with all my heart, and can't wait for what's to come with the next 5 years!

Always & Forever

My little boy is 1

Wow! I can't believe my baby is a year old! Time really does fly. Turning a year old for Jordan was quite the event! He had a Splish Splashing birthday party the weekend before his birthday, a smaller party on his actual birthday, and then we went to the zoo the weekend after his birthday!

Usually Jordan loves getting in the pool...but he had a lot more fun watching everyone else!

Everyone had fun swimming, sliding on the slip n slide, getting treasures from the fishing pond and eating!

Jordan loved his frog cake...even though it took him a while to tear into it (and he even didn't really do that!)

Jordan found out that he LOVES chocolate (he's a boy after my own heart!)

After all the fun of swimming, eating cake and chocolate...Jordan got all cleaned up to open presents and best of all to play with them!
On Jordan's actual birthday, he started the day off eating 3 chocoate grasshopper cookies...and they were delicious!
Then we went to Grandma & Grandpa Schiffman's for dinner, cake and presents!
He sure does love sweets!
After his messy cupcake, Jordan took a bath in Grandma's sink.

After all of the festivities, Jordan posed for some Birthday pictures with his "Birthday Boy" pin
The Zoo

Jordan had a good time at the zoo. He liked looking at the animals, but loved looking at the other kids more! He also loved going on the train!

Jordan loved pointing at everything...his favorite was the giraffs!

The last few months...

Now that we have this new blog, of course there isn't anything fun, new or exciting happening. So I am going to go back and share some of the fun things this Summer that has happened so far!

Our Minnesota/Wisconsin Family Vacation

Durring the middle of June, we visited Glen's brother Jason, and his wife Darcie and their kids Elise & Anja in Minnesota. While there we visited Mall of America......wow!

Me, Jordan, Glen, Darcie, Elise & Anja

Getting there was quite the experience...it was Jordan's first time on an airplane. He did ok, but it sure made for a long flight!

Glen & Jordan...waiting to board the plane!

He enjoyed looking out the window!

And even watched Baby Einstein and ate puffs!

After a few days visiting Jason & Darcie we all went to Wisconsin Dells and met up with Grandma & Grandpa Roden, Trish, Terry & their kids, Aaron, Nate, and Darcie's parents.

We stayed in Glen's parents condos (the presidental suite!), went to waterparks, fished and went on a duck boat ride!

While we were there, we had three kids under the age of one! Renner, Anja & Jordan. They all had a ton of fun playing together!

Jordan & his IV

During the month of July, Jordan had a tough time...it seemed that he was constantly sick. The poor little guy had to get an IV. It was the saddest day ever for us.

4th & 24th of July

Inbetween Jordan getting sick during July, we managed to have a little bit of fun!

On the 4th we watch fireworks at our place with family.

Jordan was of course a ham for the camera!

On the 24th we went to St George with my parents, brothers, sister & Goodrich's.

1st Post!

So I have been wanting to set up a blog for a long time now! Finally, with the help of Glen watching Jordan;) we now have a blog! Hopefully everyone will be patient with me while I try to figure out how to work everything...I'm technically challenged!

I am excited to be able to share fun facts, pictures and upcoming events with family and friends who are near and far!

Plus, I love sharing picutes and bragging about my little guy!

Jordan....my pride & joy
